Went to Salthouse, but only to check out the migrants you understand. Seemed that the Wryneck was still in situ. So I had a look for a little while, like you do, and then continued with the Stonechat, Wheatear, Whinchat, Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff, Redstart, Linnets etc. Then it seemed that a group of chaps with large lenses pushed the proximity envelope too far and it flew off. But not very far...
Bloody photographers.....
ReplyDeleteFrom what I hear, you joined the chaps with big lenses to get this shot ... 'bloody photographers' I can cope with, it's hypocrites I dislike.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I hear, you joined the 'chaps with big lenses' to get your shot but apparently don't feel implicated in any alleged 'flushing'. 'Bloody photographers' I can cope with, hypocrites I dislike.
ReplyDeleteDon't know if you are confusing me with someone else, but when the flushing that I referred to (creeping up the ridge towards it) happened I was a hundred yards away watching warblers in bushes, which was conveniently where the bird landed. Yes, I may have been behind the others when it sat on the post but when they moved forward yet again I left them to it...
ReplyDeleteUnless you are talking about Mr L? Who I couldn't tell you if he was there or not
