Mallard flap

ISO1250 f/5 1/1600s

I like the textures that female ducks and juvenile gulls present, often more interesting than the other options.  Probably could have done with a smaller aperture and a couple of further notches on the ISO but  Like the underwing details.  Greyscale version below.  Will probably have a further play around with it.

Urban Grey Heron

This bird is not difficult to find, but it is difficult to photograph as it is a bit nervous.  There were interesting reflections in the water to it's right which would have been much more rewarding but I couldn't get that shot due to the restrictions on the vantage point.  Ho hum.

Med Gull

I've been taking photos of Med Gulls at a location know to Norfolkians (that isn't Yarmouth) for a few years with varying degrees of success.  It may well be the same gull, but at my last visit there was two birds.  Which was nice.  This is one of them.

Mute Swan bathing

Blogger did something to this when it loaded it.   Didn't look half as green before.
