This particular groyne configuration is known to many, and often lends itself to very splashy photos. Especially when the Turnstones move in for the winter. In order to illustrate this, I have not done that.

Stuff goes on
The Red Arrows flew over my head. I had the camera ready by the time they flew into the distance.
Starlings sit on posts.
I visit an 'installation' and like an Owl.

How to write a blog post about birds.
I was sitting there and this bird lands by me.
So I took a photo.
And then it flew off.
So I sat there for a bit more, and another bird lands by me.
So I took a photo.
And then it flew off.
There. Your bird blogging masterclass is complete.

Meadow Petrel
I've never seen this before but am ready for a chorus of 'it happens all the time and you might notice it more if you stopped pining after foxes'. Anyhow, these Meadow Petrels Pipits were hovering over the sea to catch flies I assume. Only did it for a minute or so, but it didn't look like it was an accident. I'll spend a bit more time with them tomorrow to see if they do it again.
The final shot is what one of them was doing about 20 minutes earlier.

Barn Owl on the commute
Found a Barn Owl on the way to work on Monday. Took some photos.
Yes, this is what my commute looks like.
Not a bad start to the week...
